Black and white portrait image of a Sayisi Dene man, shot from the side, in the midst of a performative movement, striding forward with his arms fully outstretched above and to the sides of his head. His head is shaved, and he is naked, his form shrouded in the dark shadows of the room. To his right a white femme person, wearing shorts and a dark coloured t shirt, sits cross legged on the floor with a single lit candle positioned at their feet. Around both performers dozens of pill bottles are arranged on the floor. The rest of the room is in darkness, giving the figures a ghostly quality.Description
