Creative Access Description
Black and white landscape image of a Sayisi Dene man leaning forward with a rope tied around his neck. His head is shaved, and he wears a ruffled white skirt and a dark coloured suit jacket buttoned in front. A booklet or stack of papers protrudes from the front of the jacket. The rope is tied around his neck with a large knot just below his chin. The end of the rope is gathered in a large loop and is being pulled by someone whose hand emerges from the shadows at the left side of the frame. The image is very dark overall and the blurred forms of seated audience members, as well as a candle and a number of pill bottles are shrouded in shadow behind the performer.Description
