Colour landscape image of a Bundjulung and Ngapuhi woman and a Nehiyaw Isko woman standing in front of an applauding audience. The Bundjulung and Ngapuhi woman wears loose fitting black slacks, a black bra, grey running shoes, white socks, and has a white button up shirt draped over her shoulders. Her long black hair is tied back. The Nehiyaw Isko woman wears a white shawl like top, sparkly pink and blue shorts, and white platform boots with oversized buckles. Her golden brown hair is pulled back by six large barettes and hangs over her shoulders, and her face is adorned with sparkly pink and blue makeup. The women hold each others hands raised above them in celebration and both wear large smiles on their faces. The Nehiway Isko woman's right arm is also raised, while the Bundjulung and Ngapuhi woman's left arm hangs at her side holding a wireless microphone. On either side of a central aisle, audience members give a standing ovation to the two performers. The house lights have come on, illuminating the back of the stage, where a black curtain partially covers a storage area with equipment and furnishings, as well as a movable stage wall on which is displayed a black and white photograph of a stone wall with the phrase 'tout est politique' written on it.Description
