Colour landscape image of a Bundjulung and Ngapuhi woman dancing under a spotlight. She wears loose fitting black slacks, a black bra, grey running shoes, white socks, and a wireless microphone attached at the hip. Her long black hair is tied back. She is photographed mid step at the front left corner of the stage, her left foot planted and her right foot hovering above the floor. Her entire body angles toward centre stage as if quickly changing direction. Her arms are raised to shoulder level on either side of her, with elbows bent as she balances. In her right hand is the earpiece of her wireless microphone, which has come detached. Her eyes are closed and her mouth is open as she delivers a monologue through the movement. In the front row, an audience member wearing a medical mask holds a microphone and a laptop computer, reading from a series of prepared prompts. The bluish glow of the computer screen illuminates the side of their face as well as other audience members around them. The spotlight illuminates the hardwood floor of the stage and the vertical panels that make up the wall.Description
