Creative Access Description
A colour portrait image of a framed oil painting that is 25 inches by 30 inches tall mounted on a golden yellow wall in a gallery space. The painting features a central figure staring directly at you, their Black skin in deep contrast to the bright whites of their clothing and a huge pair of layered fans held in both hands. The left fan is held aloft in front of their head. The right is held behind them below their waist, in a dancer's pose. Their shirt has an exposed rectangle across their back and their sleeves are rolled up to reveal a belt surrounding the lower part of their shoulder above the tricep. Their billowy pants have a filigreed section along their hip like vines or stained glass with a series of eyes, cowrie shells, or flower buds in various states of bloom. Swirling around and away from the figure are a half dozen floating forms reminiscent of moths and the white fans the figure holds, like fabric caught in the breeze. They fly across a deep dark night sky above a cloud-covered landscape, topped by white rectangular buildings with huge rounded windows.~root~>Description
