Creative Access Description

A colour landscape image of two paintings mounted on a white wall in a gallery space. On the left is an unframed oil painting on wooden panel measuring 20 inches by 30 inches tall. The painting features a solitary figure standing upright with their fingers wide and reaching, their arms extended, one raised over their head, and one reaching towards their feet. A long copper-coloured braid coils up and around their arm in a huge infinity sign, like a figure 8 rotated 90 degrees. They wear textured garments reminiscent of Nigerian masquerades, composed of raffia and palm garments. In the background is a candy pastel sky with softly swirling clouds and a huge arching rainbow at the top. On the right, there is an unframed acrylic painting on watercolour paper mounted on metal L-shaped hooks. It features a single nude figure resting on a pillar of stone surrounded by a dark and damp cloudy night sky. The figure is sitting with their legs out in front, bent at the knee and swept off to the right. The bottom of their right foot wraps around and rests behind their right buttock. Their left hand rests off and to the side half supporting their evaporating body.
