Daniel Knorr: European Influenza; La Biennale di Venezia, 51. Esposizione Internazionale d'Arte, Romanian Pavilion
Daniel Knorr
2005
The Romanian Pavilion at the 51st Venice Biennale was left empty, showing traces of past exhibitions, and the backdoor was opened to provide access to the city’s public life. The first materialization of Daniel Knorr's work European Influenza was this nearly 1,000-page reader with critical texts on the expansion of the European Union, edited by Marius Babias, on display at the entrance of the pavilion. The work was also materialized by visitors, the media, and art professionals, who talked about it in discussions, reports, notes, writings, and media coverage
