Creative Access Description

A colour landscape image of works mounted on the wall of a gallery space with sandy brown walls and cement floors. Positioned on the left side of the wall is a large crucifix made out of wood blocks painted in a brown, red, white and blue quilt-like pattern containing several found objects including two brown hands holding a peace sign, copper stars and tiny figurines of men in wedding suit. In the centre of the wall, there are three laminated posters with four small wooden crosses hung above it. There is also one wooden cross hung right under the poster in the middle, which features a picture of a Black man with framed letters on either side of the cross. On the right side of the wall, there are three wooden-framed works. The outer two frames display a crucifix painted in a brown quilt-like pattern with individual skulls placed in the middle and the backgrounds are also painted in a quilt-like pattern in shades of brown, red and blue. The frame in the middle contains brown hand figures making the peace sign with two action figures in the middle and shell casings alongside them. The wooden background is painted with two black sideways triangles, leaving the unpainted wood to form a triangular hourglass shape.
