Creative Access Description
Black and white landscape oriented image of four Indigenous performers mid scene. On the far left is a Snaw-Naw-us man seated on a wooden crate. He wears a checked button up shirt open at the front and faded blue jeans. His long black hair is tied back and he has a dour expression on his face, his gaze pointed toward the floor. In his hands are a corked clear glass liquor or wine bottle and a fringed leather jacket bundled up and tucked under his arm. To his left, a Métis woman stands on another crate gazing upward dramatically with her arms together, thumbs extended outward and palms open toward her chest. She wears a dark coloured cat suit and her dark shoulder length hair hangs over her shoulders. To her left, a Six Nations woman stands leaning against the gallery wall with one knee raised to rest on a third crate. She wears faded blue jeans and a leather motorcycle jacket. Her head is lowered and her long straight black hair covers her face. To her left stands a man leaning against the wall. He wears faded and torn blue jeans and a dark coloured jacket. His long dark hair partially obscures the pained expression on his face and his downward gaze and hands thrust in his pockets give him a dejected presence. Behind the performers, a large collage type artwork is hung on the white gallery walls.~root~>Description
