Black and white landscape image of a Sayisi Dene man, photographed with his left side facing the camera. performing in a dimly lit room. The man has short dark hair and stands naked with his left arm outstretched, holding in his hand a flaming piece of paper. The flames cast a glow on the man's chest and a small flame dances in the air immediately above the paper. In the foreground there is a standing bundle of grass and flowers. In the background audience members mix with other performers including a man in a feathered mask and a woman in a sleeveless dress with long curly hair. Another bundle of grasses is positioned along with the white gallery wall, the shadow of an overhead spotlight, and a rectangular projection vaguely recognizable as an image of a prairie landscape.Description
