Description

Photocopied article from the June 16-23, 1989 edition of The Georgia Straight covering the Beyond History exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The article discusses a perceived new wave of Indigenous art practices and the politics of artist identity and curatorial 'discovery'. Mike MacDonald's media work and Seven Sisters installation is highlighted.
