The two leftmost works are portrait oriented photo collages made up of eight and nine landscape and portrait oriented images depicting detail shots of totem poles and their carved human and animal figures at 'Ksan (Ksan) / Kispiox, a Gitxsan community at the confluence of the Bulkley and Skeena Rivers near Hazelton, BC. The third work is mounted on a separate, slightly set back segment of the wall and is a landscape photo collage made up of eight portrait and landscape images of a beehive burner at a sawmill at night, aglow with fire to create the effect of an industrial volcano. The gallery walls are white and to the edges of the image one can see the grey concrete floor, as well as exposed pipes, and white plinths in a storage loft space above the wall.~root~>Description
