Creative Access Description

Colour portrait image showing a photo college made up of eight printed photos in portrait orientation, arranged in three rows, mounted on a white wall. The images show a selection of close shot detailed views of the totem poles of 'Ksan (Ksan) / Kispiox, a Gitxsan community at the confluence of the Bulkley and Skeena Rivers near Hazelton, BC. The poles are largely unpainted weathered greyish brown wood but include some red and faded black highlights. The images feature carved figures of the faces and hands of human and animal forms.
