Creative Access Description
Colour landscape image showing a photo college made up of eight printed photos in portrait orientation, arranged in two rows of four images, mounted on a white wall. The images show a variety of installation and detail views of the totem poles of Gitanyow Village, a Gitxsan community near the Dease Lake Highway. The poles are unpainted and weathered greyish brown wood with carved figures of birds, frogs, and other animal forms along with human forms in various poses, including one holding a bow. Some images of the poles are backgrounded by the surrounding field, forest, and buildings. Faint text reading 'Gitanyow '87 M MacDonald' is handwritten in the bottom right corner of the piece. ~root~>Description
