Creative Access Description

Colour portrait image of Mike MacDonald, a middle aged Mi’kmaq man with short dark hair and thick dark eyebrows, giving the camera a puzzling, perhaps skeptical look, his head cocked to the left and his eyes narrowed. He wears blue jeans, a knit sweater with a black, tan, and light blue abstract geometric pattern, and an unzipped blue jacket, and holds a Kodak branded colour separation guide with a colour bar, greyscale, and other measurement marks with both hands in front of his chest. Mike stands in front of Cedars 1988, one of his works from 7 Photographic Works, a collage of photographs of tree trunks, set against the white wall of grunt gallery.
