Ted Hiebert is an interdisciplinary artist and theorist. His work examines the relationships between art, performance, and technology with a particular focus on the absurd, the paradoxical and the imaginary. He is the author of In Praise of Nonsense: Aesthetics, Uncertainty and Postmodern Identity (2012), A formalized forum for informal inquiry (2015), and Ludic Dreaming: How to Listen Away from Contemporary Technoculture (co-authored with David Cecchetto, Marc Couroux, and Eldritch Priest, 2017). He has also edited several books, including, most recently Artworks for Jellyfish and Other Others (co-edited with Amanda Boetzkes, 2022). Hiebert is a professor of interdisciplinary art in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences at the University of Washington Bothell.Ted Heibert, 2024~root~>
