Biography

Patrick Bergeron is a videographer, multidisciplinary artist, and engineering education and specialist in visual effects. Bergeron followed an unconventional path: he graduated in physics and aerospace engineering with a specialty in robotics, and decided to quit and turn towards creation. A job at the National Film Board of Canada allowed him to achieve this transition. For more than twenty years, Bergeron has been working in the field of digital visual effects. He participated in major projects like The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix. His artistic and professional work are watersheds of inspiration in both directions. The themes of his work usually include: time, memory, documentary, mechanical and organic movements, weather elements, vintage and recycled objects, voluntary simplicity, plants, and nature.
