Biography

Lisa Fedorak is a freelance indexer who uses her interdisciplinary background to create thoughtful indexes for scholarly books in the humanities. She is interested in how our minds work, how we navigate the world, ideas that can instigate change, and how we make meaning through sight and sound. Prior to indexing, Lisa worked in senior management roles in non-profit arts organizations. She is actively involved in the indexing community as a volunteer member of The Indexing Society of Canada /Société canadienne d’indexation (ISC/SCI) and is chair of the Society’s 2021 and 2022 annual conferences. She holds degrees from Emily Carr University of Art and Design (BFA) and the University of Western Ontario (now Western University) (MFA). When not working, Lisa can be found on the curling rink, yoga mat or curled up reading some fiction.
