Jon Bewley is currently a director of Locus+, an artist-run centre based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom. In the late 1970s, Bewley with John Adams, Ken Gill, Richard Grayson, John Kippin, and Belinda Williams formed The Basement Group. Between February 1979 and November 1983, The Basement Group programmed over 230 events mainly at the Basement, Bells Court, Newcastle upon Tyne. Running from March 1983 to May 1992, Projects UK was founded by John Bewley and Ken Gill, with Simon Herbert joining the organization in 1985. In April 1993, Jon Bewley and Simon Herbert established Locus+.Adapted from Locus+, 2024
