Biography

Bridget Corkery (1960-2013) was born in England and moved with her family at the age of seven to Edmonton, Alberta. She received a BFA with a major in Printmaking from the University of Alberta in 1981 and a Master’s in Fine Arts in Mixed Media from Florida State University in 1984. She studied woodworking, cabinet making, and textile printing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Corkery moved to Nelson, BC in 1995 and was a founding member of the Oxygen art centre.
