Biography

John Cooper was an international colour theorist and plein air painter who had been making art since the 1950s. Spending nearly 40 years near Nelson, BC, he painted about 300 paintings per year, taught art at the Kootenay School of the Arts, and worked in different occupations to fund his artistic vision.
