Kybor Dancer was a BC-based potter who taught ceramics at Douglas College for many years. Laura Wee Láy Láq credits him with teaching her the flat strap technique in the early 1970s, which she uses for most of her works. Dancer also maintained an active drawing practise, and exhibited his drawings alongside ceramic works at grunt gallery in 1988.Nanaimo Art Gallery, 2021
