Biography

I am currently a PhD student at the Political Science Program with a concentration in Cultural, Social and Political Thought at the University of Victoria. I received my BA in Sociology from Koc University, Istanbul in 2009 and my MA in the Social and Political Thought Program from York University, Toronto, in 2012. After my MA, I gained a Diploma in Art History from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. My research interests, situated at the intersections of political and social theory, philosophy and art history consider the question of the state and state-form and the various forms of resistances and struggles against it.
