About

Headbones Gallery opened in 1994 in British Columbia, Canada with a mandate to show contemporary work, experimental concepts, diverse mediums, and performance. Programming was designed to present a broad art exposure to five cities in a semi-rural landscape. Headbones, The Drawers opened in Toronto in 2005 specializing in works on paper with an exhibition and project space, and a flat file system. Catalogues were produced for every exhibition. In 2010, Headbones moved from Toronto to Vernon and constructed a building to house the gallery, studio, and residency. International inclusion was fostered through the residency. Headbones Gallery has featured artists from Canada, USA, Britain, France, Austria, Germany, Poland, Iran, Australia, China, and Syria.
