Noxious Sector

Noxious Sector is a forum for collaborative and exploratory action, dedicated to the exploration of alternative cognitive function, the paranormal and the absurd. The collective was founded in 2005 by Jackson 2bears, Ted Heibert, and Doug Jarvis. Conceived as a formalized forum for informal inquiry, Noxious Sector projects take the form of performances, curatorial initiatives and artistic collaborations. From December 2010, Noxious Sector ran a small storefront gallery in downtown Seattle continuing their curatorial work and featuring monthly exhibits by emerging and experimental artists from around the world. In 2015, Noxious Sector Press was founded to continue the curatorial and experimental work of the collective in book form. Noxious Sector Press publishes books of critical theory, artist books and special projects.
