Mary Beth Knechtel retired from teaching English at Langara College and moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2008. She has a focus on combatting the spread of invasive species such as Japanese Knotweed and Scotch Broom; the maintenance and expansion of bike and walking paths; and promoting responsible development.
