Kerriann Cardinal, of Metis and mixed-settler descent, was raised by her grandmother in Fort McMurray, Alberta. She is an emerging producer with experience in various roles including 1st AD, Production Manager, Field Producer, and Production Coordinator. Additionally, she has spent 20 years working in theatre, dance, events, festivals, and touring shows. Her training with Filmmaker in Indigenous Leadership and Management Business Affairs at Capilano University and the National Screen Institute, Art of Business Management—Indigenous Edition have provided Kerriann with the skills, support, and mentorship to move forward as a Producer. She is currently one of the Producing partners for a documentary TV series, Water Worlds, for APTN and is also a Producer on Shifting Ground, a documentary film for Knowledge Network. Kerriann is also completing Development on a documentary film, Deb Mearns: Still Here, in which she is Producing and working with an amazing team. She recently worked as an Associate Producer on Bones of Crows, a scripted film and 5 part TV series (premiered at TIFF 2022 and opening night at VIFF 2022, with a broadcast premier on CBC).
