Biography

Alice Hamilton is a composer as well as Bubble11’s lyricist. Formerly known as Alice Tepexcuintle, she used to be a fixture on the late 1980s through 1990s Canadian poetry circuit, appearing frequently alongside national treasures such as bill bisset and Sheri-D Wilson. A lifelong rocker and punk fan, she is also a saxophonist with a wide stylistic experience including jazz, world and new music, with opportunities to play alongside musicians such as Paul Plimley, Anthony Braxton, and François Houle. She has been playing guitar professionally since 2013 and has a degree in contemporary music from VCC.
